I’m working on a very quick project that I hope to have out by Sunday (or early next week at the latest). Tarnhelm’s Terrible Tome is a quick conversion of my house rules for 0e from 1977 or so to modern versions of 0e like Swords & Wizardry. Many of these rules have appeared in Microlite74 Extended, but the versions in Tarnhelm’s Terrible Tome will be specifically written for “standard” 0e games. While the rules in Tarnhelm’s Terrible Tome will change 0e enough that some players today will probably decree that games played with these house rules are not “Real 0e”, back in the late 1970s few people would have thought considered the house rules all that strange. There was a lot of variety in 0e from table to table and these house rules would just be another example of that.
